The Rural Development Academy (RDA) is also called পল্লী উন্নয়ন একাডেমী in Bengali. It is a specialized rural development institution in Sherpur Upazila of Bogra District, Bangladesh. It is established for training, research and action research. On 19 June 1974 it was established.
The entire area of The Rural Development Academy is almost 48.50 hectares. The Rural Development Academy (RDA) have office, residence, school and college, children’s park, play ground, and other establishments and as regards 29.50 hectares former earmarked for demonstration farm for undertaking research in farming, tissue culture horticulture, pisciculture, floriculture, livestock, Poultry etc.
The Rural Development Academy (RDA) is a self-governing body. This institution is officiated with the Rural Development and Co-operatives Division of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Co-operatives (LGRDC).
