Chittagong Board is officially known as Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Chittagong. The board started its operations in the year 1955. It is autonomous and self-regulating organization in the field of educational management and administration in Bangladesh. The East Pakistan Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance, 1961 and its section 3A(1) is responsible for regulation, organization, control and development and supervision of secondary, junior and intermediate level public exams and educational institutions of the Chittagong and other districts.
