About the Sheikh Hasina University

Sheikh Hasina University is a public university in Bangladesh’s government. On January 30, 2017, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina passed the policy of setting up a university in Netrakona district in a regular cabinet, which was chaired by the Prime Minister. Initially, it was meant to be set up as a science and technology university, but later it was declared as a comprehensive university. Alongside science, humanities and trade issues will also be taught here. Currently, there are 38 public universities in Bangladesh. On one day Jamalpur is also approved for the establishment of another new public university. The number of new universities will be 40.

• • The candidate will be passed the secondary or equivalent from 2021 to 2022.
  • The candidate will be passed the HSC or equivalent has passed 2023-2024.

• The applicant must have a minimum 3.00 GPA, including 4th subject, in each of the secondary and higher secondary examinations.

Sheikh Hasina University is a new university. Its have three subjects/department under two faculty, which faculty is 1.arts and 2. social science. Two subjects under arts faculty which are Bangla and English. And one subject under social science faculty this subject is economics. So, Shekh Hasina university has few seats. Its have only 90 seats. Thirty seats for Bangla department, 30 seats for English Department and 30 seats for the economics department.
